The Diner-Saurs’ “Greasy-Spoon Patrol”
The Miss Worcester Diner built by the
Worcester Lunch Car Co.
(#812)>
Rusty and Vinnie at the funky
Miss Worcester diner - Oct. 25, 2023
The interior of the
Miss Worcester Diner
is something to behold.
Returning to The Miss Worcester Diner
9⁄25⁄24 – It was BUSY?>
More of the overwhelming interior
of the Miss Worcester Diner.
John & Rusty had the “Usual” – Vinnie had
one of his favorites – Biscuits & Gravy.
The “Diner-saurs” leave their “mark”
at the Miss Worcester . . .
. . . marking their territory like feral dogs.
We visited the Corner Lunch diner just down
the road from Miss Worcester - Dec. 6, 2023
Kowloon's – Saugus, MA (Dec. 20, 2023)

we were there at lunchtime)
Returning to The Boulevard Diner
10⁄30⁄24 – a genuine DINER experience!>
By law, they have to
have a bathroom –
. . .and this is theirs.
A typical rough-neck,
Boulevard patron
exiting the “facilities.”
We ventured to Shrewsbury, MA (Jan. 24, 2024) to
Dinky’s Blue Belle Diner
(Worcester Lunch Car
#814)
Dinky’s Blue Belle
had a gallery of paintings
of other lunch-car ⁄ diners. (Can’t find
“Trainor’s” – probably no longer exists)
Painting of the
Sherwood Diner
(Worcester
Lunch Car #755). It’s been restored, but
is being used as a broadcast booth for the
Worcester Red Sox farm team.
Painting of
Charlie’s Diner
(Worcester Lunch
Car #816). Still exists as part of a larger
catering business in Spencer, MA.
Painting of the
Chadwick Square Diner
(Worcester Lunch Car #660). This is now
called “Ralph’s Rock Diner” in Worcester
and is part of a night-club.
Painting of the
Mugsy’s Diner.
Who knows what happened to Mugsy’s?.
Returning to Dinky’s –
Apologies for being open.
This time we sat in the actual diner area.
Dinky’s menu is unique.
Read the QUALITY
GUARANTEE at the bottom.
The waitress was
festooned with flowers,
leaves, & butterflies.
Christmas decorations were in the windows.
Warning above the toilet:
echoes of Ted Geisel.
If you sit on the toilet
this is what you see.
An old, classic Michelin
poster in Dinky’s bathroom.
Who was Mike?
More kitchy decorations at Dinky’s
At least Dinky’s is
licensed.
Feb. 15, 2024, the Diner-Saurs head to
Gardner, MA, to the Blue Moon Diner.
The Blue Moon is another

Lunch Car
diner (#815)

Some classic movie memorabilia at Lou‘s
Down to Oxford to Carl’s Oxford Diner
March 6, 2024
Carl’s is a classic diner inside
(with some small booths in back).
Carl’s has a pink school bus decked out with
a pig snout & ears (which tells you a lot!)
John had eggs with a kielbasa that
hung off the plate.
Rusty ordered eggs & bacon and
got eggs and B A C O N ! ! !
(the Pig Bus starts to make sense)
Vinnie ordered the “Dieter’s Delite”:
Biscuits and Gravy – a family staple!
So much food – where to start.
Carl’s– Our waitress (left)
was funny & friendly and
took our picture.
Vinnie finished his biscuits & gravy,
Rusty & John took some of theirs home.
We hit The Kenmore Diner on Mar. 13, 2024.
The new owner, Christon Paddock, took over just months before.
We returned to the Kenmore Diner
on May 29, 2024.
The owner, Christon Padduck, sat with
the Diner-saurs for a photo (5⁄29⁄24).
Hey! They swiped our
“Diner-saur” trademark!
(Actually it’s kinda cool)
Peg’s Diner was next
(3 ⁄ 20 ⁄ 24)
Peg’s–classic, bare bones–in Whitinsville (pronounced
“WHY-TINS-VIL”). It was packed when we were there.
At Peg’s, Vin expounds
on the current state of
the world.
